Power Rangers are very popular with kids, so if you’d rather not have to make your own cake, you should be able to order one easily from your local bakery, supermarket or Dairy Queen. However, if you want to make a homemade cake, here are some great ideas for some simple and stunning homemade cakes with a Power Rangers theme:
Pre-made cake decorations
Bake and frost a plain sheet cake of any size or dimension and dress it up with some of the truly amazing pre-made cake decorations available from baking supply stores. You can also order Power Ranger edible cake decorations online. At Sugarcraft you can select an image from the birthday boy’s favorite Power Rangers movie and have it turned into an edible photo sheet you can lay on top of the cake. If you or someone you know can manipulate images on the computer, you can even create an image that features the birthday boy posing as one of the Power Rangers!
Easy Power Ranger helmet cake:
Bake a cake in an oval cake pan and frost it in one of the Power Ranger colors—blue, red or yellow. Depending on the number of guests, you can bake three oval cakes and frost each in a different color. Then use licorice to create the black visor and mask details. Use thick black Twizzlers, laid across the cake, to create the visor, and use thin licorice rope to add the mouth and helmet designs.
Lightning cupcakes:
Frost a selection of cupcakes in different Power Ranger colors, and add a Power Ranger lightning bolt to each one, using an icing bag filled with black icing.
Power Ranger helmet cupcakes:
Frost a selection of cupcakes in different Power Ranger colors. Next, cut out mini visor shapes from black construction paper and lay them on top of the frosted cupcakes to create mini-Power Ranger helmets. Cut out a range of different visor shapes based on the different characters.
Power Rangers Fully Edible Cupcakes
Bake and frost a selection of cupcakes as you normally would. Then apply your edible power rangers cupcake image toppers to the cupcakes. Voila, a selection of customized power rangers cupcakes!
